When I was younger, I had one extra roll of film from film class so I went to my grandmother’s home and said, “Hey grandma I’m gonna take a few photos of you.” With her permed hair, minty spicy aromatic smells, and her humorous chatter on the phone, those would be the last memories I’d capture of her. It’s those same images that bring back her smell, her laughter, and the gentle look in her eyes.
That’s the “gift” of a photograph, it’s why I continue to photograph. In this age where everyone can be a photographer, the only difference I bring is my insight, and understanding of light, time, attire, and locations.
I love to photograph in a way that naturally pulls your memories of smells, sounds, & feelings from long ago. If we’re a good fit, look around, see my previous photographs, send me an email or let’s start planning by clicking that button below. ❤
